Facing mortality can create a terrifying grip upon life; day to day pleasures spoilt, deep fears of the unknown arise. A long term illness, often constant pain, a terminal diagnosis can herald a time of confusion and chaos. Putting affairs in order, supporting grieving families, the plants can support moving through energy systems, nourishing the physical body, providing pain-relief. Altered perceptions through micro-doses of psychotropic herbs, can aid acceptance and preparation for death. Their guidance can help people Shape-shift in the eyes of death, able to inhabit other ideas and move away from fear.
Karen and Fiona have had over 30 years of clinical practice as herbalists and have nurtured clients through the transition to death through the use of herbs, energy medicine and body work. They work with the psychology of death, societies perception of death and how cultural mores have created fear around the issue.
