Description

This course will include a review of the components of a psychosocial assessment and present a couple of different assessment formats. We will review factors that should be considered as part of an assessment such as race, culture and disabilities. We will explore ways to collect information for a psychosocial assessment. Objectives include a review of the components of a psychosocial assessment, considerations when completing a psychosocial assessment and an exploration of ways to collect information for a psychosocial assessment.

Wendy St. Pierre, Ph.D., LCSW, MSW, a social worker in Maine for over twenty years has experience in crisis intervention, case management, working with homeless youth, and in regulatory affairs. She has been a school based clinician for Kennebec Behavioral Health and is currently Instructor and Program Coordinator at Kennebec Valley Community College teaching in their Mental Health Program.
