Description

The workshop will provide participants with an overview of the medications that behavioral health practitioners are likely to encounter to treat mental health and addiction issues. Included in this class will be:

  1. Antidepressants.
  2. Anti-anxiety agents.
  3. Mood stabilizers.
  4. Anti-psychotic medications
  5. Medications used to treat addiction (Suboxone, Methadone, Naltrexone, etc.).
  6. Trends with Psychedelics used at treatment.

MEET YOU INSTRUCTOR:

Paul King-Miller, PsyD, LPCC is the Division Director of Social Services for the Mescalero Apache Tribe. He earned his Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, and his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. He finds enjoyment in spending time with his two young children, and training in Jiu-Jitsu.
