Event description

Description

Who are we talking about?

This year’s conference will have a particular focus on Adverse Childhood

Experiences (ACEs) and supporting disadvantaged students. We will be talking about students who are at risk of poor mental health, underachievement, school disengagement and school exclusion.

What are the issues?

Barriers associated with ACEs include complex developmental trauma, poor school attendance and lack of engagement and significant underachievement throughout the key stages.

How can we support?

This conference will help develop a deeper understanding of the risk and resiliency factors and evidence-based approaches for those supporting children, young people and family members affected by ACEs.
