Event description

Description

For medical professionals, yoga teachers, yoga therapists - all are welcome !!! Yoga Alliance and IAYT Credits available

Research continues to prove what the ancient yogis, gurus and spiritual leaders lived and shared!

For yoga teachers, yoga practitioners, counselors, yoga therapists and anyone with an interest in deepening their understanding of anatomy, the mind-body connections.

Gesture becomes habit and habit becomes posture!

Yoga has the potential to reach deep into the psyche and change anatomy. Long held postural patterns can be changed.

A deeper understanding of anatomy, ideology, psychology, and functional movement will help unlock the issues in the tissues.

Somatic experiences can bring release these issues in the tissues that may be the cause of physical, emotional, physical and spiritual pain.

Movement is involved in health – we KNOW this! Yoga is movement medicine, Movement is food. A lot of our body pain and some of the diseases– it’s early days in this research field – are less the result of bad movement per se, and more the result of lack of variable and loaded movement. don’t get enough movement in their natural day to fulfill their RDA (the boost to our circulation and immunity provided not by food or a supplement but by
running the ‘engine’ of body movement to pull all those nutrients around the body).

The big muscles are the physiological engines of the body, pulling the chemistry along in the flow necessary to life. “There is but one disease,” said Paracelsus in the 16th century, “and its name is congestion.” Movement – especially when it is loaded, whole body, and variable in rhythm – is a congestion-!!!
