Event description

Description

You're invited to PSN's February Community Meeting! Please join us for a special Partner-In-Action presentation by Sarah E. Kremer, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Board Certified Art Therapist, and PhD Candidate. Ms. Kremer will share her individual doctoral project involving a collaboration between Notre Dame de Namur University, Acknowledge Alliance, and Stanford University's Center for Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing. The title of her presentation is "Portraits of Mental Health & Wellbeing: Using Digital Photography to Reduce Mental Health Stigmatization."

The goal of the doctoral project is to create a model for successfully integrating a neurodevelopmental art therapy program into general mental health and wellness services for youth, building upon the benefits of sharing knowledge and ideas with other mental health professionals to mutually enrich the art therapy and adolescent mental health fields. Ms. Kremer's Partner-In-Action presentation will be part lecture, part interaction, and part experiential, giving attendees the opportunity to create their own Portrait of Mental Health using digital tools, and the option to display their images during the meeting, and at Stanford University's 2018 Adolescent Mental Wellness Conference: Overcoming Barriers to Access in April.

RSVP Today! Volunteer/service hours are available to students attending PSN meetings.
