Description

Workshop Description
Graphic designers think about visual forms and how they are put together so they can visually communicate a message to a particular audience in a meaningful manner. Well-thought out and executed graphic design can demand attention, identify, inform, clarify, persuade, sell, educate and visually enhance—in any or all of the above combinations. In this workshop we will go over a variety of strategies which will help you to visually communicate your content and ideas—unrelated to the medium required for distribution—which will yield compelling and memorable experiences.

Objectives

Students will gain a better understanding of:

- Principles of visual organization and composition
- Structure and systems
- Design process
- Symbolic representation
- Typography
- Word/image relationships
- Narrative and sequence
