Now is the time to prune your apple trees for tree health, fruit production, and beauty! Join this workshop to learn the basics and get guided, hands-on experience pruning apple trees. We will meet in the orchard at the Sandbox Cooperative in Ham Lake, MN which will allow participants to learn about rehabilitating old, overgrown trees AND shaping young plantings.
Pruning tools will be provided and shared. Please bring your own (sharpened please!) if you have them.
The workshop will be facilitated by Sarah Claassen, a beginning orchardist and LSP organizer with 8 years of experience working in apple orchards, agroforestry plantings, and perennial agriculture in MN, WI, VT, and KS.
You may purchase tickets online through this event site for $7 or in-person, by cash or check only, at the event for $5.
Please contact Sandbox Cooperative's Eric Sannerud with questions about the event, location or ticket purchasing at firstname.lastname@example.org
