About Our Presenters

Dr. Daria J. Willis is the 17th president of Everett Community College and its first African American President. She is the youngest president in Washington state, and a 2018 recipient of the AAWCC Under 40 Award. Dr. Willis is dedicated to student success and empowering communities through education with a focus on student parents, and providing culturally responsive pedagogy to students.

Dr. Orinthia T. Montague serves as the fourth president of Tompkins Cortland Community College. President Montague has over two decades of experienced leadership in higher education. Prior to her appointment at Tompkins Cortland Community College, she served as Vice President of Student Affairs and Chief Diversity Officer at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minnesota and Associate Vice President/Dean of Students at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Dr. Annesa Cheek has served as the sixth president of St. Cloud Technical and Community College, in St. Cloud, MN since 2018. Prior to her appointment at SCTCC, she served as Vice President of School and Community Partnerships, where she established the college’s first African American Male Initiative, focused on improving persistence and completion rates AA males. Dr. Cheek earned her doctorate in Higher Education Administration from University of Texas-Austin.
