The highly anticipated opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure was one of the most talked about events of the last year. Now, the extremely successful launch has others wondering what’s next.
Universal Orlando’s Tom Schroder, vice president of public relations, and Alyson Lundell, senior manager of public relations, will describe the Harry Potter mania surrounding the announcement in 2007 all the way through the opening last year. They will also discuss the challenges of sustaining such a cultural phenomenon.
Local practitioners will benefit from the lessons that the Universal PR team has learned throughout the past year by being able to modify the real-life examples to fit the needs of their own clients.

The Citrus Club is located on the 18th floor of the BB&T Bank Building, at the corner of Orange Avenue and Jackson Street in downtown Orlando. Parking is available in the Jackson Street parking lot and the Lincoln garage on Ornage Avenue. Meter parking is also available on the adjacent streets. Unfortunately, we do not validate parking.
