PRS 4th Annual Halloween Bash
Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM - Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 12:00 AM (EDT)
STAFF NOTE: We are currently updating & tidying up this event page. We just wanted to post preliminary information for those who wanted to get their tickets. Thank you!
It comes to no surprise that Halloween is our favorite time of year! Legends and personal stories are shared, our greatest fears are explored (and even celebrated), and most of all, the dead walk with the living!
This year, we are holding a special, all-day event on Saturday, October 26th, 2013 in Raleigh, NC. It kicks off with a zombie reception with food and beverages (those who wish to participate can join us for a "zombie walk" around the city, to see how many heads we turn). After the makeup and costumes are temporarily put aside, we will host a series of thought-provoking workshops from PRS Director Ryan Buell, Michelle Belanger, Sergey Poberezhny, Eilfie Music and other guest speakers!
As a bonus, those who wish to join us for a special Halloween dinner show (additional fee) will enjoy an evening of prizes and contests (including a pumpkin carving contest and "Paranormal Jeopardy") to entertainment with a magician/comedian and a one-act horror play!
The main event is the Halloween Party (two free drink vouchers are also included in ticket price; must be over 21), complete with a live DJ, cash bar, jugglers, dancing and games. The party will feature a custom decoration job, with the theme to be nightmares. Let's celebrate living whilst honoring the dead!
The 4th Annual PRS Halloween Bash is an amazing all-day event and a great way to celebrate the Halloween season! It also compliments the Ryan Buell and Chip Coffey Halloween lecture being given on Sunday, October 27th, 2013 (click here for info).
PRS Present's "A Nightmare in Raleigh" Halloween Bash
Our unique party will center around the theme of nightmares. That moment, where a dream suddenly becomes a moment of inescapable fear. We all have them and the nightmares comes in different forms. The one thing that they have in common is that the induce a state of shock in all of us. And yet there is something exciting about the experience.
The fear, in a way, make you feel more alive. Join our celebration of Halloween by attending our, "A Nightmare in Raleigh" Party. Decorated with images in scences inspired by our collective nightmares, we will hold a night to remember. Die, scream and reanimatie...err, we mean dance, laugh and socialize.
-Costume Contest: Who will be winner and take the stage in the different categories of this contest? From, "most original," to "most likely to scare the dog." Dress up, enter, and win!
-Halloween Games: Partake with PRS and the rest of the attendees in a variety of different games. And yes, a group "Thriller" dance is a must to make this a special occasion.
-Raffles: What good would a party be, if you couldn't walk away with any prizes? We will offer a variety of unique Halloween raffle prizes. Increase your chance of winning by purchasing more raffle tickets. (more info coming soon)
-Tarot Reading: Join Eilfie Music for a private tarot reading. (addtional fee and by sign up only)
-Halloween Themed Photo Backdrop: Get a group together and take some fun photos with the decorated space and the official PRS Halloween Themed Backdrop.
Night of the Living Dead Reception &
Downtown Zombie Invasion
The event starts of with a "Night of the Living Dead" themed reception where attendees will get a chance to socialize with one another and members of PRS. Along with a delicious selection of hors d'oeuvres, a make-up artist will be available to zombify those that want to participate in the downtown zombie invasion. Don't run from the plague, become part of it.
Help us spread the fear and create some good laughts at what can one day become a PRS Halloween tradition.
Workshops & Experiments
Throughout the day, a variety of different workshops will center around the spirit of Halloween. From a photo tour of Halloween in the early 1900's, to the origin tales of many of the ghouls and creatures we often hear about
during this time of year. From talks about the psychological studies done on fear, and how fear plays a part in paranormal investigations, to a broader understanding of how this time of year brings out the desire to encounter the supernatural.
No event would be complete with Sergey's mad scientist experiments involving ganzfeld, bi-nuaral beats, and more. Let's see what happens when we introduce some new elements into play. Participate in, group activities, attend workshops and take part in some unique activities.
Paranormal Photo Exhibit
For the first time, Sergey Poberezhny will showcase a variety of paranormalphotographs in this unique exhibit. From past to present, and from famous to the unknown, witness the world of the paranormal captured throught the eyes of the camera.
We are offering two additional add-ons to the event to cater to keeping the price down for the overall ticket, as well as for those that are coming earlier and would like to have a full Halloween experience with PRS.

Friday Entertainment Package ($75)
This add-on is for Friday's festivities. It includes a pass to the Raleigh Haunted Footsteps Ghost Tour. This is great way to see and learn about the paranormal nature of Raleigh. The tour combines local ghost stories, folklore and local history. Tour starts in downtown Raleigh.
Then, we will visit one of the best Halloween attractions just 25 minutes from Raleigh. The Clayton Fear Farm is filled with 6 different spooktacular actvities. The personal favorite is a 20 minute haunted hayride, that will have you begging to end as you pass through areas where few outsiders dare to go. From an old church and cemetery, through a dark forest road, this ride will have you jumping in fear.
