Description

The DuPage Community Network: Professionals Serving LGBTQ+ Youth invite you to our Fall Training:

Providing Gender Affirming Therapy for Transgender and Gender Expansive Teens:

A Workshop on Assessment, Building Client and Family Relationships, Skill Sharing and Networking

Join us for a deep dive into providing gender affirming behavioral health care for transgender, non-binary and gender expansive young people and their families.

Hilary Green, Post-Doctoral Fellow of Linden Oaks Behavioral Health, will give the keynote address on providing a comprehensive assessment and treatment plan for working with transgender youth and their families.

In addition, you'll hear from a panel of providers who will share their experiences, challenges and lessons learned while serving transgender youth.

This interactive workshop will provide opportunity to skill share, look at specific cases and network with providers with a range of experience serving LGBTQ+ youth. Whether you've been in the field for many years or this is a new population for you, we encourage you to come with questions and your own knowledge to share and connect with others.

This workshop is ideal for behavioral health care providers, social workers, psychologists and case managers. Parents and school personnel are encouraged to attend our upcoming Spring Workshop on March 3, 2017. More details to come!

*4 CEs available: LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, IAODAPCA, ISBE/CPDU

Cost: $30 for individuals seeking CEs. Students and interns are encouraged to attend at no cost.
