Event description

Description

An evening with leading conservationist Dr Ian Singleton, Director of the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP) and an alumnus of DICE, sharing fascinating insights from almost 20 years working on the frontline of orangutan and forest protection.

Join us to hear from Dr Singleton about why there is hope for Sumatran orangutans and their rainforest home, and learn what we can do to save the precious Leuser Ecosystem, the only place in the world where orangutans, tigers, elephants and rhinos co-exist under the same forest canopy.

The talk will be illustrated by stunning photography and film.

Open to the public, tickets £12
Free entry for students of the University of Kent's School of Anthropology and Conservation. Donations are welcome to support the work of SOCP.
