September 2019 Monthly Meeting of NESACS

This meeting will be hosted by Biogen

Protecting Intellectual Property in Pharmaceuticals

Please join us for our September Monthly meeting to honor our 50, 60, and 70 year members. This month’s meeting will focus on considerations and strategies toward protecting intellectual property in pharma and biotech. The Panel will be moderated by Sofia Santos, PharmD, PhD, of Finnegan LLP. Panelists will include:

  • Emilie Braun, PharmD, Associate Director, Licensing, Partners Healthcare Innovation

  • Sara Leiman, PhD, Associate, Finnegan LLP, Boston, MA

  • Jennifer (Sieczkiewicz) Zarutskie, PhD, Vice President, Chief Intellectual Property Counsel at Wave Life Sciences

  • Adil Zhugralin, PhD, Patent Agent, Clark+Elbing LLP

  • Directions to Biogen - 300 Binney Street – BLDG 9, Cambridge, MA 02142; (617) 679-2000. Please park in “Blue” parking lot.

MBTA:

  1. Take the Red Line T to the “Kendall Square/MIT” stop.
  2. Walk up the stairs and locate the Marriott Hotel entrance.
  3. Walk through the lobby of the Marriott Hotel to Broadway Street.
  4. Refer to the detailed map, on last page, for exact location.

From Highways North or South:

1. Take 93 North or South.

2. Exit #26 (Storrow Drive).

3. Take Storrow Drive, take the first left to “Government Center/ Kendall Square”.

4. Go up the ramp and turn right over the Longfellow Bridge.

5. Go straight and pass the Marriott Cambridge Hotel on the left.

6. Biogen locations are on your right, just after the Ames Street intersection.

7. Parking can be accessed via the 2nd driveway on right.

8. Biogen locations are across the street from the side exit of the parking garage.

From West:

1. Take I-90/Massachusetts Turnpike/Mass Pike East (towards Boston).

2. Exit #18 (Allston/Cambridge).

3. After toll bear right toward “Cambridge/ Somerville”.

4. Turn right onto Storrow Drive (Guest Quarters Suite Hotel is on your right).

5. Exit (Government Center/Kendall Square).

6. Go around the rotary until you see the entry ramp for the Longfellow Bridge.

7. Go over the Longfellow Bridge.

8. Go straight and you will pass the Marriott Cambridge Hotel on the left.

9. Biogen locations are on your right, just after the Ames Street intersection.

10. Parking can be accessed via the 2nd driveway on right.

11. Biogen locations are across the street from the side exit of the parking garage.
