When professionals address mental health and substance use disorders, it is imperative that they take a family-centered approach to engagement, treatment and recovery. This workshop will provide a brief overview of a powerful evidenced-based model, Celebrating Families!™ . In this workshop participants will learn:
1. The local and national outcomes that demonstrate the benefits of family-centered treatment
2. A provider and client perspective on the shift to family-centered treatment and its impact on results
3. An evidence-based approach to family-centered prevention, treatment and recovery
Rosemary Tisch is the author of numerous substance abuse prevention curriculums for children and families. She has conducted training programs throughout the world, and is an advisor and consultant to the National Drug Endangered Children Alliance and the National Association for Children of Alcoholics.
Melissa Santos is the Training Division Director at Community Solutions, and a private consultant in leadership and organizational development. She has over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, with a focus on families impacted by substance abuse and the criminal justice system.
