Event description

Description

Join us on March 2nd 8:45am-12:30pm for a panel and round table discussion with local experts, educators, entrepreneurs, policy makers, activists, and stakeholders about protecting and empowering vulnerable children in Ventura County. A light breakfast will be served.

This conference will focus on building awareness of the children in Ventura County who have bigger than usual barriers to leading a fulfilling life, following their dreams and becoming productive citizens. We will explore the situation of foster children, homeless children, migrant children as well as other vulnerable populations. Then, we will hear what organizations are currently addressing their needs and hear inspiring stories. At the end of the session we will ask the participants to share their thoughts on how the Social Justice Fund of Ventura County can best impact these populations with its grants.

Join us to learn more about the most vulnerable children in Ventura County, what is being done to address their issues and provide input on how to do more!
