Learn about the history of the Prospect Park Zoo as it evolved from a late 1800’s menagerie in Prospect Park to the dynamic educational institution it is today. The day will begin on the Zoo’s campus, with background on the rich history of the institution, a tour of the facility, plus some hands-on activities and lesson plan ideas from the Education Department. In the afternoon, we’ll return to the Brooklyn Collection to turnkey this exciting historical content into useful lessons and curriculum tie-in ideas. (CTLE Credits: 5)
