Lijah Barasz is a Connecticut native who honed her dramatic writing skills in the writers’ room of ABC Family's flagship drama PRETTY LITTLE LIARS. After starting out as the Writers’ Assistant, Lijah worked her way up to Story Editor and currently has over ten episodes to her name. While earning her stripes writing teen drama, Lijah’s original material eagerly delves into edgier content and focuses on issues of sex, gender, and cultural identity. Lijah’s other interests include cycling, online videos of interspecies friendship, and music. She regularly performs with The Silver Lake Chorus, a renowned indie rock group whose debut album features songs written exclusively for the chorus by Bon Iver, Sia, Ben Gibbard, Tegan and Sara, Aimee Mann, and more.
Our Lady J is currently a writer on Amazon's Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning series Transparent. As a singer/songwriter, she released her first studio album "Picture Of A Man" to critical acclaim in 2013.
