Join us for a discussion pertaining to parish property and operations, from A-Z

About this event

Please join us for a discussion surrounding the operations and maintenance of your parish property. We will talk about parish operations from A-Z, property insurance to medical insurance, HVAC to boilers. This will be a wide ranging discussion related to parish upkeep, the impact of COVID on our churches and in our church communities, and risk management.

Highlights include:

  • The Alienation and Encumbrance process
  • Continuing to protect ourselves from COVID-19
  • Asset Protection
  • Grounds: Its impact on the parish and community

  • Energy assessments: Are they necessary?
  • Leasing Accessory Property. The must haves.
  • Access to the property. Who should and should not have keys or codes.

The Episcopal Church in Connecticut (ECCT) (aka the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut) is the collective witness and presence of 168 churches and other communities and institutions of the Episcopal Church in places across the state. It is overseen by the Rt. Rev. Ian T. Douglas, assisted by the Rt. Rev. Laura J. Ahrens. The common meeting space and offices for the bishops and church-wide staff are at The Commons, 290 Pratt Street, Meriden CT. Multiple staff use eventbrite for event registration.
