About this event
Learn about California native plant vegetative propagation with a variety of native plant specimens from the TPF gardens. Students will learn how to start and grow plants from cuttings in this hands-on session. This informative course is suitable for both professionals and anyone interested in learning propagation techniques for their home or community garden. Each participant will leave with a flat of 50 starts for their own garden! All materials provided.
This class takes place indoors and outdoors. Please wear closed-toed shoes, bring water and sun-protection. Students will be asked to park on the street, Tuxford, Wheatland or Ledge and walk up to the nursery if able to.
Laura Breidenthal is the Seed Program Technician at Theodore Payne Foundation with a background in environmental science, plant propagation, and restoration of California’s parks and open spaces. She is passionate about sharing botanical knowledge and connecting people to their local flora.
