Prop 15 Schools and Communities First Presentation
Event Information
About this Event
Forty-two years ago California passed Proposition 13 as part of an anti-tax revolt that decimated funding for public education. This November we have a historic opportunity to close a corporate loophole in Prop. 13 and reclaim $12 billion a year in desperately needed funding for our schools and public services.
Alameda's Board of Education recently endorsed Proposition 15, noting that it could bring in more than five million dollars to Alameda Unified School District.
Ben Grieff, from Evolve California, sits on the Executive Committee of the Yes on 15 campaign. He will be discussing why in the wake of COVID the effort to pass Prop. 15 is now more important than ever.
