Promotion and Marketing for Visual Artists Workshop Description:
This five-hour workshop will equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive as a professional artist in today’s art world. Participants will learn how to craft a compelling artist statement as well as a short biographical text. The course will also cover how to navigate and cultivate relationships with galleries and nonprofit spaces, the essentials of an effective promotional package, and managing an online presence. Artist, educator, and writer, Jacquelyn Gleisner offers invaluable guidance and practical tips for developing a career for artists at any stage.
Jacquelyn Gleisner is an artist, writer, and educator. She holds an MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art and a BFA with honors from Boston University. Her work has been exhibited internationally in the United States, Italy, Finland, and Botswana. Gleisner was awarded a Fulbright grant to Finland in 2010 and she also participated in an artist's exchange in Botswana through the Art in Embassies Program in October 2015.
