Thank you for your interest in the PROMISE SSI! Our ticketing process has ended, but we are making space for you! Since you plan to come, we will need you to register onsite on Saturday, but as part of a pre-registration process that lets us know that you are coming, please send an email asap to promisestaff@gmail.com with the subject "PROMISE SSI 2018 On-site." Within the message, please give us the following information (a quick 3-minute exercise): 1) name, 2) institution, 3)academic discipline, 4) department, 5) current level (MS, PhD, Postdoc, etc.), 6) long-term degree goal, and 7) career goals (short-term, and long-term). 16th Summer Success Institute!

Welcome to the registration for "SUCCESS 2018," the University System of Maryland's Pipeline Development Conference which includes August 2018 programming for students! The PROMISE Summer Success Institute (SSI) is one of three events this year. The undergraduate "Bridging Conference" will be held on August 17, 2018, and the PROMISE SSI will be held on August 18, 2018.

Our SSI provides professional development, encouragement, motivation, career advice, peer support, and camaraderie, for new/incoming graduate students, continuing graduate students (master's and doctoral level, and the PP&Ps (Postdocs, Professors, and Professionals). This event is open to graduate students throughout the state of Maryland, from any school within the University System of Maryland. PROMISE: Maryland's AGEP is particularly focused on professional development for underrepresented students in STEM fields; broadly, graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty from any group or discipline are warmly invited to attend.

The theme for the 2018 PROMISE SSI is "SUCCESS 2018," and we continue to use our signature hashtag: #ThinkBigDiversity
