"Black Lodge" (2022, 70 min)
David T. Little’s Black Lodge with a libretto by Anne Waldman, music of Timur & the Dime Museum
“Be careful what you need to know,” warns the protagonist of David T. Little’s surrealist cinematic opera. Blending opera and rock (and with a nod to David Lynch’s Twin Peaks), Black Lodge is a journey into magic, mystery, regret, and redemption.
"Véronique Doisneau" (2005, 37 min)
Jérôme Bel, Pierre Dupouey
Invited to make a piece for the Paris Opera Ballet, Jérôme Bel wanted to stage a sort of theatrical documentary on the work of one of the dancers: Véronique Doisneau. Alone on stage, close to retirement, she casts a retrospective and subjective glance on her career as a dancer at the heart of this institution. Through words and gestures, she conjures up an otherwise invisible world.
