Professional development for anyone who works in education with children or the public, including teachers, homeschoolers, informal educators, 4-H leaders, park personnel, and scout leaders.Project WILD invites you to explore and share the fascinating world of wildlife and ecosystems using fun, hands-on educational activities. You will experience engaging TEKS-aligned activities while networking with other educators.Flying WILD, a companion to Project WILD, engages students in hands-on, standards-based classroom and field activities focused on bird biology, conservation, and natural history.Workshop participants receive:<ul><li>7 hours TEA-approved CPE and TEEAC Credit</li><li>Project WILD K-12 guide</li><li>Flying WILD targets 5-8 grades, adaptable</li><li>Texas-specific resources</li></ul>Please dress for indoor and outdoor learning. Please bring a lunch. All fees/taxes included.Fee is for WILD training. WILD materials are distributed only with requisite hours of training. Attendance and participation in the entire experience are required to receive any of the materials, regardless of fee payment.All curriculum materials are backed by sound educational practices and theory, and represent the work of many professionals within the fields of education and natural resource management from across the country.
