About this Event

The official tournament site for take-off and weigh in is the marina at PB2.

The event gets kicked off with tournament checkin and late registration on Friday 9/20/19 at the Elks Lodge (5161 Osage Beach Pkwy, Osage Beach, MO 65065), 5-8pm for registration and official rules review. We are also hosting dinner a Silent Auction, and we will also pass out goodie bags with snacks for Saturday’s Regatta.

Fisherman will receive their launch number, tournament rules sheet, weigh in times, and final directions from the tournament director. Last minute entries will be allowed up to 8:00pm.

Saturday morning 9/21/19- Tournament check in, live well checks, and launch organization begins at 5:30 am at PB2. Launch will be on Saturday (approx.7:00am) Weigh in will start at 3:30pm.

Come join us for the “Project Warrior X 2019 Lake of the Ozark (1st Annual) Veteran Fishing Championship” charity tournament.

RULES Tournament Hours: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM PB-2 is the official take off cove and weigh-in location.

1. Limits:This is a five (5) fish limit per team or when fishing alone tournament. Anyone bring in more than five (5) fish will have their sack culled to the five (5) fish limit starting with the big fish first. Teams may carry more than five (5) fish but all culling must be done on the water—not on the bank.

2: Short Fish Penalties: Only 15” Largemouth, Smallmouth and Kentucky bass (AKA.Spotted Bass) may be brought to weigh-in. All fish brought to weigh-in must be of legal size determined by state law for that body of water fished. Short fish will be culled from your sack and your largest fish will be culled from the remaining fish. A Bump Board will be available at weigh-in as a courtesy board.

3: Live-well Inspection:Boat must have a working live- well, either built into the boat or portable. Live-wells must have some type of pump or circulator to keep fish alive. All live-wells will be checked prior to takeoff

4. Boat and MotorBoats must have required Coast Guard Safety Equipment and must have a motor within the rating limits.

5. Weigh-in Bags:Participants may only bring fish to the weigh-in station in a weigh-in bag provided by the Tournament Director.

6. Late to Weigh-in:There will be a deduction of 1 lb. per minute of your total weight for every minute late to weigh-in. After 15 minutes past weigh-in teams are disqualified.

7. Off-Limits:Off-limits areas will be announced at the pre-tournament meeting. Teams may not fish closer than 50 yards to another competitor who is anchored with the trolling motor up unless given permission. If permission is given to one, then all may fish same water.

8. Dead fish Penalty:For each dead fish a 1/2-pound penalty will be deducted from your total weight. A dead fish will not be weighed-in as big fish. Fish that appears altered or mangled shall be the tournament director’s decision to weigh or not to weigh the fish.

9. Life Preserver: During all Regional Tournaments, contestants not wearing their life jackets zipped and secured when the combustion engine is running and in gear will have that day’s weight disqualified from the tournament.

10. Ties:Ties for big bass will split big bass pot. Ties for all place finishes will be broken by big bass.

11. No Live Bait:Only artificial lures can be used. The use of pork rine is permitted. NO A-RIG/UMBRELLA TYPE RIGS ALLOWED.12. No Trolling:Trolling with the use of a combustible engine as a method of fishing is prohibited.

13. Sportsmanship:All contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy and conservation. Drunkenness shall be cause for immediate disqualification. No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs shall be allowed in the boats during the tournament hours extending through the close of the weigh-in.

14. Leaving Your Boat:Competitors shall remain with their partners in the boat at all times during the tournament. Except in the event of sickness or brief excursions for "nature calling", a severe storm or other such hazards. If for any reason a team decides to leave the tournament waters early, competitors must contact the Director, prior to leaving the tournament. If you have boat trouble, one member must remain with the disabled boat. The other team member may board another competitor’s boat with that day’s catch and bring fish to the weigh-in. Please contact the Director prior to doing so.

15. Cheating:Anyone caught cheating in will be immediately disqualified. We reserve the right to have a random truth verification test performed at any time. You may not use a cell phone to gain an advantage over the rest of the competitors.

16. Protest:All protest must be submitted in writing to the Director before the close of weigh-in.Verbal protest will not be accepted.

17. State Rules:All state rules and regulations must be followed. Teams breaking a State Rule or Regulations will have that day’s weight disqualified.

18. Insurance:All members will carry liability insurance on any boat they might use. Failure to do so or reporting false information will result in disqualification. Participants must have the company name and either policy number or the name of the agent binding the coverage on the membership form.

In consideration of accepting this entry, I agree to assume the risk of and full responsibility for any property damage, personal injury or accident resulting from my participation in this Event or while on the premises of the Event host and expressly agree that the sponsors, promoters and all other persons and entities associated with this Event shall not be liable for any such injuries, damages, losses or claims even if caused by their negligence (this waiver does not, however, apply to gross negligence or intentional torts). Intending to be legally bound for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, I waive and release any and all claims for damages, demands, actions and causes of actions against all sponsors, promoters and any individual or group associated with this event for any and all injuries suffered by me in this event. I am physically fit and competent to operate the vessels and equipment used in this event. Entry constitutes permission to use winner’s name and photos for publicity purposes. Receipt date of entry determines starting position. Fees are non-refundable. (Participants under 18 must have parental signature.)
