Event description
Train-the-trainer for Aging and Social Service providers in LGBTQ+ inclusion

About this Event

LGBTQ+ elders are four times less likely to have children, twice as likely to live alone, and yet are five times less likely to access senior services than their non-LGBTQ+ peers. This lack of support increases the risk of depression, substance abuse, unnecessary institutionalization and premature death (www.SAGEUSA.org).

Project Visibility prepares leaders, trainers, and changemakers in organizations and communities to train and coach staff and team members to deliver greater compassion, understanding and access to service and care for this too often "hidden" population. Learn how to train your team in specific, actionable and culturally responsive skills. Get the full project visibility training program and power point(1-3 hours content delivery time), access to video interviews of individuals with lived experience, and leader training manual. CEU pending.
