Event description

Description

Project Learning Tree is an education program that helps youth from K-8 learn how to think, not what to think, about complex environmental issues. The activities are adaptable to many contexts and suitable for a broad range of learners. Perfect for summer, these activities get kids exploring their outdoor environment. The engaging, hands-on lessons require minimal preparation and use readily available materials. Comprising 96 lessons, the program focuses on five themes: diversity, interrelationships, systems, structure and scale, and patterns of change. In the full-day training, participants will plunge into a selection of the activities and gain confidence in their ability to facilitate them. At the end of the training, participants will receive a manual and a suggested implementation plan.
