Chapter 1: Knowing the Past to Change the Future: History and Purpose of Advocacy

Family Voices of California Project Leadership is a parent advocacy training whose overall goal is to increase the number of family members of children with special health care needs who are prepared and supported to become advocates for health care policy and service improvements. The Project Leadership curriculum introduces parents and caregivers to the nuts and bolts of advocacy in a seven-session training series.

Childcare will not be offered. Snacks and water will be provided and each participant will recieve a gift card at the end of each session.
