Week One - 4/1/13 - 8:30 to 1:00 | Ignite Your Inner Fire Download Sample
Each week consists of a three hour seminar, one guide and a series of assignments to complete during the week. Week one is focused on motivation. Extended unemployment can erode ones confidence and morale. Restoring one's belief is essential prior to searching for employment. During this step, program participants complete eight exercises that produces for each person a revived feeling of energy, enthusiasm and motivation. the Hidden Step series.
Week Two - 4/22/13 - 8:30 to 1:00 | Identify Your Career Path Download Sample
Week two focuses on the career path (step two) and the phone interview (step three). Applying for jobs prior to clearly defining the career path is like driving in a car without a destination. 94% of applicants polled at a recent job fair were unsure about the right career path. Yet, resumes are forwarded to employers hoping for the best and without a clear direction. This step creates clarity, a sense of direction and the knowledge to pursue the right employers.
Step three prepares the applicant for the phone interview. Just 10 years ago the phone interview did not exist. Today it is used as a fast and inexpensive tool to screen out applicants. An unprepared applicant can be eliminated from the process, even if he or she has a stellar resume. Many well qualified applicants are eliminated at this step when they find themselves ill prepared to handle the call. Guide three ensures that the applicant is equipped with the knowledge to turn every phone interview into a face-to-face meeting.
Week Three - 4/29/13 - 8:30 to 1:00 | Step Four - Prepare Your Resume Download Sample
Week three initiates the step to create the promotions material to include the resume. During this week, program participants prepare their online marketing material. This includes social media marketing information and their online & in-person resumes. Program participants learn to package their skills according to their strengths and to focus on areas employers' value.
Week Four - 5/6/13 - 8:30 to 1:00
Week four focuses on completing the online marketing resumes for each applicant and initiates the process of applying online. Program participants learn to use their newly created resumes to apply for jobs online. During this week, program participants also start preparing for the in-person interviews.
Week Five - 5/13/13 - 8:30 to 1:00
Week five concludes the resume building process, and continues the interview techniques sessions both in-person and on the phone.
Week Six - 5/20/13 - 8:30 to 1:00
Week six completes the process and initiates a comprehensive networking training. This segment includes strategies on both online and in-person networking tactics to help program participants connect with employers in their areas. During this week, we schedule the graduation date where program participants receive their graduation certificates and are assigned to a career coach who will help facilitate the interview process for the graduates.
Meet with employers
Graduates from this program meet with employers who have agreed to interview them for a position. Employers choose applicants possessing the skills they need and have the option to hire qualified applicants directly from this program or to try-out the graduates as interns.
Why this workshop?
Most job seekers are highly skilled in their area of expertise. An accountant knows accounting as a salesperson knows how to sell. Yet, the average job seeker is not an expert when it comes to looking for employment. Rules change frequently and the employment landscape moves constantly. NEC career coaches are experts at their field of expertise and at this workshop familarize participants with proven strategies that lead to immediate employment. Job seekers regard us as the best at what we do. But do not believe what you read, experience it for yourself.

Most applicants today possess limited knowledge on where and how to apply for jobs. Rules change rapidly and skilled professionals find themselves trying every strategy possible yet remaining unemployed. Finding employment today is easy and immediate when the right skills are matched with employers looking for them.
Knowledge that leads to employment
Applicants unaware that finding employment today is no longer a two-step process, continue submitting resumes while patiently waiting for a response. Today creating a resume (step one), and applying online for jobs using that resume (step two), does not lead to immediate employment. These steps are outdated and only blend the average applicant with thousands of others following the same two steps.
Employers looking for your skills
The challenge of unemployment today is not one of lacking jobs, but one of mis-communication. More than 500,000 jobs were posted online last week | Click here to start searching. There are plenty of jobs, yet resumes forwarded containing conflicting information about an applicants skillsets can delay the employers' response. Being considered as overqualified, under-qualified, or not qualified all result from a resume containing too much, not enough, or the wrong information. This workshop shows applicants to communicate their skills so clearly, employers looking for those skills can quickly find them.
Within three hours, applicants prepare to meet with employers and secure their new job. At the conclusion of this workshop, applicants acquire the knowledge to identify the correct career path, create an effective resume and may qualify to be matched (by an NEC Career Coach) with employers hiring for their skills.
