Creating a Trauma-Informed Workforce through Problem-Based Learning Simulations. Join us for this free interactive workshop.

About this Event

Davidson County Community College and The Dragonfly House Children’s Advocacy Center are offering a free training on Childhood Trauma that will be facilitated using an interactive Problem-Based Learning Simulation (PBLs). This national evidence-based training program the only one of its kind offered in NC and is aimed at creating trauma-sensitive practices for those already in the workforce.

TRAINING FOCUS: “Caleb Perez” SimulationThis simulation focuses on developing best practices pertaining to a child abuse and neglect investigation, starting with initial observations made by a nurse during an Emergency Room visit and subsequent investigative activities by MDT members.

This training is ideal for the healthcare industry (hospital staff, health department, pediatric offices, etc.), social services, law enforcement, and other human service non-profit agencies.
