UChicagoGRAD welcomes and presents representatives from the non-profit organization, Project Exploration.
Since 1999, Project Exploration has provided a variety of out-of-school-time programs in science, technology and engineering for underrepresented youth in grades 6-12.The program’s skilled facilitators and professionals mentor and lead students in hands-on group activities, introducing them to topics that they find interesting and exciting.
We want to invite graduate and undergraduate students to attend our presentation about Educational Outreach opportunities. These opportunities will further skills in research and community service for future STEM Professionals. This outreach is for middle school students, so it also helps to experience educating a younger generation on the values of STEM fields.
Our Information Session will consist of starting with the organization's Mission and Who We Are, to leading into the conversation of opportunities in getting involved (Facilitator/Professional) with our type of mission and the benefits of them as students to participate in this kind of outreach.
Light food and refreshments will be served.
