Programming with Simulink software for VEX: Motor Speed Control (Online)
Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM (CST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
This invite is for an online session on Programming with Simulink software for VEX. This is the next part of the introductory training provided by MathWorks. The training is intended for BEST hub personnel and team members, including teachers and mentors. It will introduce you to the benefits of using Simulink and get you familiar with using the software to program the BEST robots.
Outline for the session:
- Overview Simulink software for VEX and the library
- Programming BEST robot with Simulink
- Program the control of motor speed
- Program servos with buttons on the gamepad
- Program robot to read potentiometer, switch
- More Training Resources
- Q & A
NOTE: If you wish to sign up for this session and haven’t attended the Intro session (Part 1), we would recommend that you watch the following videos as prerequisite:
Simulink is a graphical modeling/programming environment with an integrated simulation engine that allows test and verification of your program even before your robot is built. Students will use Simulink to create a program for their robot that can be compiled/downloaded to the VEX hardware (through easyCv4).
Attendees do not need any software or robot hardware in order to participate in this webinar. The only requirement is a computer with speakers.
