Illustrated by, Christen Whyte, “An Unexpected New Dream,” is about young Nina Simone's girlhood protest. In this book, we see our young shero, Nina Simone revealed in challenging situations that inspire her to become a new and fuller version of herself- An Unexpected New Dream.

This event is not only for children and families, but for everyone who is intent in sharing our collective narratives in this season!
