On Friday, August 7, 2020, from 2 pm – 4 pm, the Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism will hold a FREE CLE via the Zoom.us platform entitled Professionalism and the Georgia Court Reopening Guide. The Program Chair is Judge Shawn LaGrua, Chair of the Judicial Council/Administrative Office of the Courts COVID-19 Task Force. Chief Justice Harold D. Melton, Supreme Court of Georgia; Judge Shawn LaGrua, Fulton County Superior Court, and Dr. Mark A. Swancutt, MD, PhD, DTM&H, Staff Physician, Respiratory Clinic, Fulton County Board of Health are confirmed presenters. More detailed Programme information is below. Additional presenters may be announced. The CLE has been approved in Georgia for 2 hours of General CLE credit, including 1 hour of professionalism CLE credit. The Commission will only apply for CLE credit in Georgia. Using the Georgia Court Reopening Guide drafted by the Judicial Council/Administrative Office of the Courts Judicial COVID-19 Task Force, the CLE will explore issues in Georgia related to professionalism as the Georgia Courts slowly reopen and begin to address more non-essential business.
This is a FREE event but pre-registration is required on or before August 4th at 4:00 pm or until the Commission reaches capacity. The link to attend the Webinar will be sent to pre-registered attendees on August 7th approximately 1 hour prior to the CLE.
- The CLE will be presented on the Zoom.us platform and you will need to access the seminar via a Zoom link using a smartphone, tablet or computer. A dial-in telephone number will NOT be provided for this webinar.
