Using Primary Sources in the Classroom is an hour and a half workshop where participants will learn about The Bronx County Historical Society collections and be able to examine primary sources up close. Participants will also learn basic handling of historic objects and work together to implement a sample lesson plan based off of their primary source.

The Bronx County Historical Society, founded in 1955, is a private, non-profit educational and cultural institution chartered by the New York State Board of Regents. The Society is dedicated to the collection, preservation, documentation and interpretation of the history and heritage of The Bronx and its people from its earliest historical references in the 17th century to the present.
