Description

CE EVENT FOR PROFESSIONALS

5.5 CE Hours

During this CE workshop, we will provide an overview of Attachment Theory; discuss the Four Attachment Styles in Adulthood and how those attachment styles affect relationships. We will examine how negative childhood experiences can create problems with self-esteem, boundaries, intimacy, dependence, and maturity. We will teach how these unresolved problems lead to dysfunctional survival traits that lead to the core symptoms of Codependence. Participants will learn tools to assist clients in recovering from codependence and develop secure attachment in relationships.

As a result of attending this seminar, you will be able to:

1. Identify the origins of codependency.

2. Understand how unmet childhood needs create attachment issues and relational problems.

3. Help clients move from an ineffective dependence to interdependency and connectedness.

4. Give clients the tools to maintain their recovery from codependence.
