Turning ideas into working solutions is a complex matter. Come join us on this lovely Saturday afternoon workshop on the Canvas Café for 2,5 hours and bring you're own idea that we'll work on together. After this event you'll be able to share your product idea with others better than before and you'll know the first steps you should take to realize it.
The workshop is held by Peter Vidos, Founder & CEO of Product Genie (http://productgenie.co.uk) an experienced startupper who built and internationally marketed 4 innovative products in the last 6 years.
In the first part of our event we'll give you an overview of the product development process, the goals and tasks of the different phases, and the professions and disciplines that are involved in each of these phases. We'll also discuss the typical pitfalls of trying to go through this process in the wrong order or with the wrong attitude toward other stakeholders.
Bring your own idea/project to the workshop and we'll guide you through a simple process of defining the core of what your idea is about. It's ok if it's your pet project you fiddle with during weekends, something you've just come up with your friends while over a drink last week, or an existing solution you and your colleagues have already heavily invested in for the last couple of years.
We're going to use the Elevator Pitch technique (http://reqtest.com/agile-blog/writing-a-vision-statement-using-the-elevator-pitch-technique/) to formulate an easy-to-understand vision of what you have in mind. The technique - in contradiction with its name - has nothing to do with actually going on stage or in an elevator to pitch someone your stuff to. :)
And for those NDA freaks among you: Don't worry, you don't have to share your next great idea with anyone you don't want to. As this comes up pretty often, we'll discuss a little bit whether it's good to be secretive about what you want to build or not.
