Procurement & Contracts Audit

Contracting requires careful and meticulous attention to details. Effectively negotiating, executing and controlling agreements with suppliers is an important task, yet many organizations do a poor job of managing contracts. This failure leads to protracted contract development and negotiation cycles, improper contract approvals, limited contract visibility, slack controls and an inability to ensure that suppliers comply with established contract terms and conditions. The complexity, value, risk, and importance of the product, material, or service to be negotiated will determine the scope and scale of each negotiation.

Workshop A

Dr Badrul Hisham Mohd Yusoff has more than 19 years of experience in multi-faceted audit environments. He has held senior positions including as Chief Internal Audit for Bank Rakyat and Affin Investment, and as Group Chief Internal Auditor for Chemical Company of Malaysia, Kenanga Investment Bank, and Bursa Malaysia. He has broad experience across multiple industries – external audit firm, development bank, plantation, bank investment, chemicals, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, stock exchange. Dr Badrul is a Chartered Accountants from the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, CMIIA member of Malaysian Institute of Internal Auditors, Associate Member of CPA Australia, CRMA member of Institute of Internal Auditors and Malaysian Institute of Management. He is currently the Adjunct Lecturer of Faculty of Accounting, Universiti Utara Malaysia and also the Faculty Advisor of Faculty of Management, Multimedia University.


Workshop B

He has more than 26 years of practical application, management, education and consulting experience in the Supply Chain and Logistics field. He specialises in training, facilitation and consulting to both the public and private sector in several primary areas: Procurement, Negotiation, Warehouse Management and Materials Handling, Inventory Management and Control, Stock Auditing, Total Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Demand and Supply Management, Procurement, Operations Management, Freight Forwarding, Transportation and Distribution, Total Cost Management and Purchasing Negotiation. His international consulting experience spans across Asia-Pacific and The Middle East. Haaran’s illustrious client's list include Shell, Celcom, Samsung, Proton, Colgate-Palmolive, EON Finance, Philips, HICOM-Yamaha, NEC, Petronas, German Malaysian Institute, Gamuda, Johnson & Johnson Medical, National Heart Institute (IJN), Nestle, Malaysian Tobacco Company, Maybank, MISC, Unilever and many more. He holds Masters in Business Administration (MBA) USA, an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, UK, and various certificates in logistics and supply chain management.
