WORKSHOP A - 4th & 5th December 2017

Procurement & Contracts Audit

Contracting requires careful and meticulous attention to details. Effectively negotiating, executing and controlling agreements with suppliers is an important task, yet many organizations do a poor job of managing contracts. This failure leads to protracted contract development and negotiation cycles, improper contract approvals, limited contract visibility, slack controls and an inability to ensure that suppliers comply with established contract terms and conditions. The complexity, value, risk, and importance of the product, material, or service to be negotiated will determine the scope and scale of each negotiation.

WORKSHOP B - 6th & 7th December 2017

Commercial Negotiation of Contracts and Tenders

The trend towards long-term partnerships, a smaller supplier base, restrictions on supplier options, and an emphasis on cost-effectiveness makes the buyers' ability to negotiate even more crucial to an organization's bottom line. This complex task requires knowledge, tact, superior communication skills, and a solid game plan! Unless you’ve been improving your negotiation skills, your chances of getting the best deals from your suppliers are very slim. Unfortunately, many feel that their past negotiation experience will serve them well today. Much has changed. Supplier-friendly win-win negotiation is the new standard. You have less preparation time than ever. This two-day workshop is designed for procurement professionals who need to up-skill their current skills set, that will be handy when dealing with procurement contract negotiation.
