Description
This conference will focus on the connection between problem gambling and crime and the treatment of problem gamblers in the criminal justice system. The keynote speaker is The Honorable Cheryl Moss, the presiding Judge over Nevada's Gambling Treatment Diversion Court, that allows offenders who commit non-violent crimes linked to their gambling addiction, to receive judicially monitored treatment and avoid incarceration. Esteemed panelists from Delaware law enforcement and criminal justice include the head Judges of Superior, Family, Common Pleas and Justice of the Peace Courts; Delaware's Attorney General; Delaware's Chief Public Defender; and the Secretary of the Department of Correcction.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be included in the cost of registration.
This program has been approved for

- 6.5 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLEs), including 1.5 hours of Enhanced Ethics credit, for Delaware attorneys
