About Ed Easterling:
Ed Easterling is the founder and President of Crestmont Research, an Oregon-based investment research firm that publishes provocative insights and graphical analyses on the financial markets at http://www.CrestmontResearch.com. Mr. Easterling is the author of award-winning Unexpected Returns: Understanding Secular Stock Market Cycles (Cypress House; 2005) and Probable Outcomes: Secular Stock Market Insights (Cypress House; 2010). Join us in a sharp departure from traditional investing to learn about investing for a steady income stream. This presentation will walk through common tools and techniques used by income investors to build and manage a portfolio. Since most AAII members are self-directed investors near or approaching retirement, learning how setup a portfolio, minimize risk, and grow the income can be critical to a comfortable retirement. This presentation will cover: setting goals, managing a dividend portfolio, reviewing of income vehicles, and explore guidelines for managing risk.

About Andy Prophet:
Andy Prophet is long-time student of investing and a retiree. He is on 10-year journey to build a growing income stream. To help, he draws on his management experience in business and engineering to construct a plan. By sharing this personal endeavor, he hopes to educate our membership of a wide range of investments for retirement income. Mr. Prophet spent 45 years in the high-tech, first as design engineer and later as a senior manager His final position was as the Executive Director of a trade association. He holds an MBA and advance degrees in electrical engineering.

American Association of Individual Investors is an independent, non-profit organization offering resources to anyone who wishes to learn about investing. The Portland Metro chapter holds general meetings six times a year (Jan/Mar/May/Jul/Sep/Nov), usually on the second Saturday. We invite speakers from academia and industry to discuss every aspect of investing.
Meetings are open to all -- register in advance here on Eventbrite for 10-15 dollars or purchase entry at the door for 20.
