Proactive Poll Worker Election Protection Training
Event Information
About this Event
This training is for you if you've been hired by your local election office or Board of elections to be a poll worker for the general election this year. It's also for you if you're in the process of trying to be hired as a poll worker.
Thank you for committing to play this crucial role in democracy!
As a poll worker, you'll have a view of the election that very few people have. You'll be inside a polling place for many hours, likely including before and after the polling place is open to the public. This gives you a unique opportunity to verify that the election is being run in ways that follow the law. Your observations may be crucial this year if there are challenges to the election that include fraudulent claims of wrongdoing.
You could also have a front-row seat to evidence of voter suppression or even illegal interference with the election!
So ... what should you look for? What is it important to document? If you see something problematic, what can you do about it?
Come to this training to learn answers to these questions and more.
This training is designed to be a supplement to the official training from your county, not a substitute for it!
Before you attend Part 2, please be sure to watch Part 1
Unable to attend the training live? No problem! Please go ahead and register, and we'll send you a link to the video of the training.
