Description

    • Ladies Night 2017 is coming and we would love for you to join us.

      Come socialize with your friends; shop for great products from all your favorite running and cycling brands; enjoy fine food and drink and learn from our guest speakers. There will be light refreshments, raffles, door prizes and more. Don't miss out.

      TIME AND CHECK IN: Check in begins at 5:30 - 6:00 pm.

      VENDORS CONFIRMED: New Balance, Nathan Hydration, Picky Bars, Hoka One One, Mizuno, Glukos Energy, Migliaro Consulting, NovaCare Physical Therapy, Alderson Endurance and Wellness, Specialized Bicycle Company and more being added everyday.

      OPENING SPEAKER at 6:15 pm: Alexi Frederick, of our Squirrel Hill store, will talk about how she discovered cycling as a great cross training compliment to her running. Alexi loves both sports and has some great insights from her experience.

      KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT 7:00 pm: Anne-Marie Alderson of Alderson Endurance and Wellness. Anne-Marie is a Pittsburgh-based health and nutrition coach, endurance sports coach, triathlete, and founder of Alderson Endurance and Wellness, LLC. Anne-Marie's personal triumphs include Ironman finisher, USA Triathlon Age Group Nationals qualifier, and finisher of the 3,000 mile Race Across America 4-woman relay bike race. After struggling with fatigue, anxiety, and hormonal health issues in 2015, Anne-Marie became increasingly interested in health and wellness, which ultimately lead her to pursue a certification in functional health coaching. In 2016, she left Corporate America to fully follow her passion of helping others live healthier lives and reach their athletic goals.

      Anne-Marie will share her personal story, from training and triumphs to health struggles and how she overcame them. Anne-Marie's presentation will include practical takeaways for the audience, including...

        • Strategically manipulating your workouts and training intensity to optimize performance gains and minimize risk of injury and burn-out
        • Fueling for performance and teaching your body to utilize stored body fat as an efficient fuel source
        • Focusing on weight loss as a byproduct of developing healthy habits, not the end goal
        • The physiology of our stress response and why more exercise isn't always better
        • Hidden sources of stress we aren't aware of, how they affect us, and how to avoid or minimize them

Our wonderful vendors will be offering some raffle prizes for participants and Pro Bike + Run will have some as well. Be sure to visit all the vendors to have the best chance to win. Drawings will all take place at 7:45 pm.
