Private Tour of the Capital Health Art Collection - A Members-Only Event
Thursday, April 14 5:30-6:15 pm
Prior to the Opening Reception of "Beyond the Stampede", members of the Hopewell Valley Arts Council and their families are invited to a private, docent-led tour of highlights of the permanent art collection at Capital Health Medical Center - Hopewell. The tour will end at the Opening Reception where you can view the exhibit, say hello to the artists, and enjoy the innovative fusion music of cellist and local resident Dan Kassel.
Capital Health is happy to share their wonderful collection with the Community. Capital Health believes in the restorative benefits of the arts in healthcare to improve the quality of care for patients, their families and their medical staff. So with the construction of the new hospital, Captial Health was committed to integrating the arts into their indoor spaces and outdoor setting to help foster a healing environment.
Over 800 works of art, most by local artists, are on permanent display throughout the Hopewell campus. In addition, Capital Health commissioned five large history installations, with accompanying murals, based on the themes of inspiration, compassion, generosity, growth and community.
Members attending the tour should meet at 5:15pm in the Main Entrance lobby. The tour will begin promptly at 5:30 and will end at 6:15 at the Opening Reception in the Investor's Bank Art and Healing Gallery. We look forward to you joining us!

The Hopewell Valley Arts Council is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to increasing art awareness and appreciation in the greater Hopewell Valley.
