Prints for the Holidays
Overview
“Prints for the Holidays” is part of a series of printmaking events organized in connection with the temporary exhibition Art for All: Innovations in 20th-century Printmaking. During this event, participants will learn the process of block printing and leave with their own set of custom cards. Block printing is a form of relief printing where an artist carves and then inks a multimedia block to create an image. No prior experience is necessary.
Admission covers art supplies. When reserving your spot, there are two dates available. Please select a ticket for Tuesday, December 2 or Wednesday, December 3.
An avid printmaker, Chaim Gross often exchanged handmade cards with friends and family, and a selection of these cards from the Foundation’s archives will be on display to help inspire participants. The workshop will be held on the second floor. The first and third floors will also be open for visitors to explore during the event.
