Event description

Description

Come and join our printmaking community. The Printmkaing Session Class Card is $300 for 10 weekly sessions, but students do not need to come to consecutive sessions. You can choose a start date for your class card, and bring your card with you to each session to keep track. Use your class card in a 6 month time period or purchase one drop-in day session if you don't want to commit to 10 sessions.

Our printmaking session is designed to give students the opportunity to learn different printmaking techniques in a traditional studio setting. Students and the instructor will be learning in a collaborative environment. In addition to learning to use materials and processes that are new, the students will be encouraged to experiment, explore ideas and take some risks in the creative process. The session will introduce the student to some traditional techniques: monoprint, relief, woodcut, intaglio and some new techniques such as solar etching. The instructor will be giving demonstrations on different techniques every week as well as instruction on studio material maintenance. Students will learn the entire process from design, materials preparation and printing to editioning.

This session is open to students of all levels of experience. The class philosophy encourages the collaborative process of between established students and new students. Current students are presently involved in ongoing projects. New students are encouraged to register as the instructor will be working closely with them.

This Session is Every Sunday from 11-3pm.
