Print & Stitch

We will use readily available materials to make simple printing blocks that we can use with acrylic paints to print on fabric. We will use this technique to create a background of leaf shapes on calico. We will then cut a simple bird shape from scraps of assorted fabrics and stitch this unto our printed calico backgrounds. No knowledge of fancy stitches is required, but it helps if you can thread a needle.

Please note that access is from the door in Fountain Street and that the inner street will be closed at this time.

To ensure we can keep providing an opportunity for you to get involved with a plethora of creativity, we have made the decision to begin charging for the workshops. Payments will be available on a three tiered scale £15 will cover the cost of the workshop, £25 will provide a charitable donation to GAN and £5 for any individual who would like to join but cannot afford the full price. We do hope you can appreciate our decision to adjust how we approach the workshops and we would love to see many of you attend over the coming months.
