Franz is a former collegiate sprinter who has dedicated his career to helping people over 40 stay strong, mobile, and athletic for life. As a husband and father of 4, he understands the unique challenges of maintaining peak performance while juggling life's responsibilities.
Franz is also a kettlebell pioneer and Star Wars fanatic who brings both expertise and passion to everything he teaches. His approach combines the precision of elite athletics with the wisdom that comes from nearly three decades of coaching real people with real lives.

John is the Owner and Head Coach of Empowered Strength in Bend, Oregon, with over 20 years of experience in exercise physiology and strength coaching. As a former clinical exercise physiologist and high school strength coach for 10+ years, John brings both clinical expertise and real-world athletic performance to the table.
John has also been competing and coaching in the Scottish Highland Games for over 20 years. He owns several world records, national and world championships while continueing to compete at a world class level now well into his 40s.
