Event description

Description

Sustainability in fashion has moved from being philanthropically driven initiatives, to a catch-all term with vital implications to business: new revenue generation, increased margin and profitability, consumer acquisition and advanced sourcing strategies that protect the future of our supply chains.

Navigating the landscape of environmental, social and governance (ESG) areas can be challenging because the language of science and NGOs is different than the business of fashion. Translating issues into action business practices is required to help to accelerate the pace of change.

This introductory workshop covers:

  • What is sustainability?

  • Why should I care?

  • Where are the greatest impacts and areas of consideration?

  • Ways to get started

The training helps to standardize vocabulary, highlight key issue areas and contextualizes the different environmental and social issues, linking them to business opportunities.
