PrimeTogether's vision is to be an open, online and collaborative platform so independents and small businesses can take on bigger projects and deliver higher value for their clients who are busy tackling the planet’s most important challenges.

Companies such as Airbnb, Uber, Catalant, Upwork, GLG, and are transforming their commercial industries using platforms to coordinate work and deliver value. PrimeTogether envisions taking the same boldness, and applying it to the government, international development, and pro bono sectors.

The independent workforce is growing at an astronomical rate and the platform technologies to make PrimeTogether's vision of collaboration a reality are here today. Additionally, new programs and rules governing access to these markets are shifting to make it easier for independents and small businesses to join forces as prime contractors. To kick off the 2017 design, build and prototyping year, PrimeTogether is hosting a networking conference and big picture hackathon on Monday January 16, 2017 which coincides with the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday and National Day of Service (aka MLK Day).


The Historic Willard Hotel's Grand Ballroom will serve as our conference venue. The Willard was where Martin Luther King, Jr. put the finishing touches on his "I Have A Dream" speech. PrimeTogether couldn't resist the opportunity to gather at the Willard for our kick-off.

Definitely Bring Your Business Cards - and Spread the Word!

Our aim is to have over 400 people attend this facilitated session with lots of time to network and engage with consultants across many complementary disciplines such as:

  • organizational and business transformation;
  • project, program and portfolio management;
  • data management, library and information sciences
  • intelligence integration and cybersecurity;
  • creative arts, marketing, design and user experience;
  • training, coaching and diagnostic instrument; and,
  • technology architecture, engineering, database design, and web development.

At the PrimeTogether conference, you will hear details about the platform elements and listen to innovative speakers who are defining the future of work in the platform economy. Participants will recommend improvements to the platform business model and choose your level of participation during the design, prototype, and build year before PrimeTogether launches in the months ahead.

Oh, and Don't Forget to Bring Your Kids, too...

...for a Community-based, Experiential Learning & Service Opportunity!

Since the conference is during a national holiday, PrimeTogether is partnering with the Urban Adventure Squad (UAS) to allow parents of elementary and middle, and high school students to fully participate in the event! UAS will meet your child when you check-in at the Willard.

UAS runs day-long and week-long enrichment programs for children and families that are community-based. Each adventure day has a unique curriculum that is aimed at engaging 'Squad members' at their own levels. UAS programs are centered around field trips to historic, architectural, and natural local treasures.

This will be a full-day program, including lunch and bus transportation. The adventure details are still being worked out, but UAS plans to include two beautiful and local places: Seneca Creek State Park and the Underground Railroad Experience Trail.

We expect that middle and high schoolers will be eligible to earn at least six service learning credits. This special program is limited to 50 young people, so you must register separately using the link below by January 3rd. UAS is finalizing logistics, planning, and park permits, and will be in touch with registrants as the adventure develops!
